Charitable organizations do not pay a membership fee and are not considered a Member. They will not get a back-up order, but they do have the option to order products at Member pricing. They will not count for any monthly promotions for the enroller. Once the charitable organization has an organizational volume of 2500, they will count as a personal director credit for the enroller.

A charitable organization may not be enrolled online or over the phone. Physical documents must be submitted to complete the enrollment. The following documents are necessary to set up a Charitable Organization:

• Charitable Organization Customer Agreement
• Charitable Organization Marketing Executive Application and Agreement
• Charitable Organization Addendum
• Supplemental Documentation (as listed on addendum)

In addition, the Charitable Organization Open Position is an optional document that you may wish to submit when enrolling your charitable organization.

For a charitable organization to be exempt from sales tax, Melaleuca must receive a copy of a letter or certificate from the state taxing authority that shows that the organization is sales tax exempt in its state. Otherwise, sales tax will be charged.

Not at this time. Payments from Visa, MasterCard, Discover/Novus, Electronic Checking, or Electronic Savings are accepted.

To be enrolled with Melaleuca as a charitable organization, the organization must have a Federal Tax Identification Number. This may also be referred to as the Business Number (BN) in Canada or the Employer Identification Number (EIN). Charitable organizations in the United States without this number can obtain it from the IRS website.

A letter of structure is a simple explanation of the mission of a self-declared religious entity.

On the Charitable Organization Customer Membership Agreement, in section 2c, check the box to set up and use this one-time, extra first-generation position. You may mark this box if you are both the enroller and the Immediate Support Team Marketing Executive.
