The Charitable Organization does not pay a membership fee. They do not count as a Member, but do purchase at Member prices. Charitable organizations may only be counted as an Active Personal Customer if they produce 29 product points or have 2,500 or more in organization volume. Enrollers of a charitable organization will not be permitted to stack multiple charitable organizations and use the same organization volume to count toward multiple Personally Enrolled Director Credits. Marketing Executives may have a maximum of two Personally enrolled Charitable Organizations.

In order for a Charitable Organization to be exempt from sales tax, Melaleuca must receive a copy of a letter or certificate from the state taxing authority that shows that the organization is sales tax exempt in its state. Otherwise, sales tax will be charged.

In order to be enrolled with Melaleuca as a Charitable Organization, the organization must have a Federal Tax Identification Number. This is sometimes referred to as the Employer Identification Number (EIN). If the organization does not have this number, one can be obtained from www.irs.gov.
A letter of structure is a simple explanation of the mission of a self-declared religious entity.
Check the box on the Charitable Organization Agreement under section 2C. You may only use this position if you are both the Enroller and the Marketing Executive for the Entity. You may only open one additional position. The Enroller needs to be a commission rate Director or above to use this extra first generation position.
