Slow and Steady Wins the Race

Kyle Elyk decided to get a healthy start to the holidays by participating in the Beat the Holiday Bulge Weight Loss Contest.

“I thought it was a good idea to get in shape before the holidays and get a good routine down before the New Year,” he says.

Having seen minimal success from other diets that were hard to maintain, Kyle was pleased with how easy the Simple Steps Plan was.

“That’s why I like it, it’s simple and if you keep up the routine it’s easy to maintain,” he says.

Kyle started drinking GC Control™ and Access® Shakes for snacks instead of eating junk food.

“I have not shopped for junk food, and the shakes were a good way of getting around it because they still taste good,” he says.

Along with changing what he ate, Kyle also made simple changes to how he got around.

“I do a lot of running at the gym as part of my normal routine, but I tried to just walk or run instead of using the car if possible,” he says. He also began using the stairs more.

By making the Simple Steps Plan a regular part of his day, he lost 65 pounds and says the key to his success was staying consistent

“Read the Simple Steps, start incorporating it, and get it into your routine,” he says.

“If you miss a day don’t beat yourself up about it, just pick it up the following day.”
